SLOW FOOD AWARDS 2019
Last night we invited all the Scottish winners of the Slow Food in the UK Awards to our wine bar to celebrate ‘good, clean and fair food’. We were of course thrilled to win in the Best Restaurant category!
The evening was hosted by Walter Mowat, Scottish Director of Slow Food in the UK, Donald Reid, Chairman of Slow Food Scotland and our chef owner, Fred Berkmiller.
Created six years ago, the Slow Food Awards are truly democratic – with no prior shortlisting, the winners are simply chosen by whoever gets the most votes. Each nation has its own winners, with the highest number of votes in each category also being the overall UK winner. In addition to the public vote, each nation director chose their Person of the Year
